FAQs

How will I be charged for services?

For small handyman projects, you will be charged on a “time and materials” basis. When you call for an appointment, we can generally provide an estimate of the expected time that will be necessary to complete your “to-do” list after a visual inspection of the project and discussing it with the owner.

Small projects are welcome; our minimum labor charge is two hours. After the first hour, we bill in 15-minute increments.

For remodeling projects and other work that exceed one day’s labor, we will provide you a  written quote. Depending on the nature of the project, it may be quoted as a “fixed bid” or on a “time and materials” basis.

Should I buy my own materials?

For small projects, you can minimize your costs if you purchase your own materials. We have  hardware necessary to complete the most common jobs, but you will need to select fixtures and other supplies that are required for your project.

If you opt for convenience over savings, we can do the shopping for you. We charge a 30% markup on materials for small handyman projects, in addition to the labor charge for the time.

For remodeling jobs and other large projects, the cost of materials will be referenced in the written proposal. We enjoy efficiencies in purchasing and delivery with these larger projects, so any markup will be lower as we share the savings with you.
